Parachinar Blast: Mourning day in Kurram Agency, trade and business activities suspended

After the tragic attack in Kurram Agency’s central place Parachinar a mourning day is being observed in the entire Kurram Agency. The terrorist attack that took place on Sunday killed 24 people whereas more than 70 were injured some of whom are in serious condition. Grief hangs in the air after the attack and local tribal leaders had announced three days’ mourning in Kurram Agency. On the first day of mourning all trade and business activities have been suspended. Lieutenant Colonel Yasir Bashir while briefing journalists over the attack said told that the security of Agency was already very strict but was further strengthen after the attack. Some of the injured are being treated at Agency Headquarters Hospital where some are reported to be in critical condition. More than 10 injured at Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar are also in serious condition.

Militants carries out a cowardly attack in Parachinar on Sunday when people were busy in shopping for winter clothes at Eid Gag Market. Political Agent of Kurram Agency Amjad Ali Khan told that 35 kg of explosive was used in the attack and it was kept near a shoe stall.
