Imposition of Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Is Undemocratic and Condemnable: Allama Maqsood Ali Domki

Shiite News: Provincial President of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan Sindh, Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, has strongly condemned the imposition of emergency and Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, terming it a completely undemocratic course of action. He clarified that democracy is actually the name of respect for public opinion, supremacy of the constitution, the parliamentary system, and provincial autonomy, and before such extraordinary measures, the public mandate should be given importance.

Allama Maqsood Ali Domki, severely criticizing the government coalition, said that Pakistan Peoples Party and Muslim League (N) declare themselves standard-bearers of democracy, but the taking of such measures during their tenure raises questions about their democratic claims. He said that democracy is not just the name of slogans but is proven by practical actions, adherence to the constitution, and protection of public rights.

The Provincial President of MWM Sindh emphasized that the solution to political differences should be sought through negotiations and political reconciliation instead of the use of force or administrative tactics. He warned that actions creating distrust and political tension between the federation and the provinces should be avoided because the country at this time urgently needs political stability and national unity.
