Intellectual and Academic Development of Youth Is an Urgent Need, Says Maulana Ali Murtaza Zaidi

Shiite News: Addressing a special session on the theme “Intellectual and Academic Development of the Younger Generation” at the main campus of Al-Zahra College in Skardu, Baltistan, renowned religious scholar Maulana Syed Ali Murtaza Zaidi said that developing the younger generation is not merely about acquiring information. Rather, it is a comprehensive process involving the intellectual, spiritual, and moral development of individuals.

A large number of teachers and female students attended the event. Maulana Zaidi emphasized that the future of any nation is shaped by the thoughts and values of its youth. He said education should encourage people to ask questions, seek the truth, and develop a sense of social responsibility. According to him, the biggest challenge today is not a lack of knowledge but intellectual fragmentation and a lack of direction and awareness.

He urged the female students not to limit their educational journey merely to earning a degree or meeting economic needs. Instead, he encouraged them to use knowledge as a means of developing their personalities and contributing to the intellectual betterment of society.

Maulana Zaidi further said that a balanced personality can only be developed through the continuous practice of reading, reflection, dialogue, and self-accountability. Such a person, he said, has a mind illuminated by knowledge, a worldview connected to truth, and a heart guided by moral values.
