Allama Sajid Ali Naqvi Pakistan Mediation: Effective Role Urged for Sustainable Regional Peace
Pakistan Should Play an Effective Mediation Role for Sustainable Peace in the Region: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi
Shiite News: Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, expressing deep concern over the growing tension and war environment in the region, has said that the Muslim Ummah is a single body, and to end the current situation, Pakistan should once again come forward and play an effective mediation role for the resolution of mutual conflicts and the establishment of sustainable peace in the region.
Allama Sajid Naqvi, welcoming the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei and Sheikh al-Azhar of Egypt Dr. Ahmed al-Tayyeb, termed them positive and serious guidance for peace and stability in the region. He termed Iran’s repeated offer of mediation and Sheikh al-Azhar’s proposal to form an immediate mediation and reconciliation committee as important and stressed that solid steps should be taken to implement these proposals. This committee should include such sincere and wise individuals who can pave the way for reconciliation between the parties.
Referring to the teachings of the Holy Quran, he urged the Muslim Ummah to hold fast to the rope of Allah and avoid division. He said that Pakistan, being an important Islamic and nuclear state, has the capability to play a key role in ending conflicts. The trust of all parties in Pakistan demands that it should, as in the past, reduce tension and pave the way for negotiations through serious diplomatic efforts.
