Deputy General Manager of K-Electric Saham Qamar who was also the head of banned Hizb al Tahrir arrested by CTD

CTD of Karachi arrested 2 target killers including the Deputy General Manager of K-Electric Usman Ghani who was also the head of banned Hizb al Tahrir. According to details, SSP Counter Terrorism Department Usman Bajwa while talking to a press conference said that CTD raided at different locations in Gulshan e Iqbal, Gulistan e Johar and Eid Gah and arrested 2 target killers. He further told that the head of banned organization Hizb al Tahrir Karachi Saham Qamar was arrested from Gulshan e Iqbal who was also the Deputy General Manager of K-Electric. He was also involved in conspiracies against the state and used to preach his organization’s ideology in posh areas of Karachi. Arms and religious literature was also recovered from his custody. According to Usman Bajwa, the terrorist had been an employ of K-Electric from past 3 years.

SSP also told that 2 target killers were also arrested during raids in Eid Gah and Gulistan e Johar areas and arms were also recovered from them. Usman Ghani, also known as Gutka, arrested from Eid Gah accepted murdering 3 people whereas Muneer Ahmed Gopang was arrested from Gulistan e Johar. He killed one person in 2014 by firing on a procession of Ahl e Sunnat wal Jama’at. He is also the member of a banned organization.
