mwm logoPakistan Muslim League-Q and Awami National Party, key allies in the PPP-led government at the Centre, have supported Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen for Governor Rule in Baluchistan.

These two major parties have assured MWM delegation that they are not part of any effort that is aimed at bringing an end to the Governor Rule in Baluchistan. Instead, they were of the opinion that since Governor Rule was imposed, law and order situation was relatively better. They were convinced that incidents of terrorism were reduced in the province.

Mushahid Hussain Syed of the PMLQ and Haji Adeel of the ANP agreed with Allama Amin Shaheedi-led-delegation of the MWM that continuation of Governor Rule is a must to establish peace in Baluchistan. They agreed with the MWM’s viewpoint that recent wave of terrorist was a machination that is aimed at weakening Pakistan.

It may be mention here that federal minister Khursheed Shah of the PPP has earlier assured the MWM that the government would meet all demands of the MWM as assured by Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in Quetta. It is learnt that the caretaker government would be installed a week before the end of term of present assembly.
