Tehran and Islamabad Reaffirm Commitment to Diplomacy After MoU
The foreign ministers of Iran and Pakistan discussed the diplomatic process following the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the US and reviewed the bilateral issues.
In a telephone conversation on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Pakistani counterpart Mohammad Ishaq Dar exchanged views on the next stages of diplomatic engagement and regional developments following the conclusion of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding.

Araqchi expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts, initiatives, and good offices throughout the negotiation process that led to the conclusion of the MoU.
The Iranian foreign minister also referred to the US’ commitments and responsibilities regarding the cessation of war across all fronts, including Lebanon, stressing that any violation of the obligations contained in the Memorandum would be attributable to Washington and warning of the consequences and repercussions of such a move.
For his part, Ishaq Dar welcomed the continuation of the diplomatic process and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for ongoing negotiations and efforts aimed at achieving positive and lasting outcomes.
He also expressed hope that the forthcoming stages of the process would advance successfully and contribute to lasting regional stability.
The two foreign ministers additionally reviewed a number of bilateral issues and emphasized the importance of maintaining consultations and coordination in the period ahead.
