Pakistan Navy’s Shia official and wife injured in takfiri terrorist bomb attack
A Shia official of Pakistan Navy, naval branch of Pakistan’s armed forces, and his wife were injured in a bomb attack in Karachi on Thursday.
The senior Shia official of Pakistan and his spouse had gone to Pak Bahria College on Dalmia-Stadium Road to drop their daughter at the college. They had parked their car for some time in the parking area.
Takfiri nasbi terrorists of outlawed Taliban and their offshoot outlawed Sipah-e-Sahaba/Lashkar-e-Jhangvi planted bomb in the car. When Pakistan Navy’s official namely Lieutenant Asif Kazimi and his wife Ms Zaiba drove back, a huge blast occurred, which left the couple injured and vehicle damaged. The injured were rushed to naval hospital for treatment.
It was a security lapse because Federal Defence Minister Naveed Qamar and Pakistan’s Naval Chief were inside the Pakistan Naval Station near Bahria College.
Earlier, the relevant security officials and rescue sources had guessed that it could have been CNG cylinder blast. However, relevant civilian security officials and Bomb Disposal Squad staff were denied access to conduct inquiry into the incident. Naval Intelligence Officials are said to be investigating into the blast.
