Al-Mahwit: 94 Mass rallies affirm support for Gaza, condemn US-Israeli plots

The governorate of Al-Mahwit witnessed 94 large-scale rallies across its districts under the slogan: “With Gaza, Jihad and Steadfastness Against the Cruelest Genocide and Most Insidious Plots.”

Participants in the rallies affirmed their steadfast support for Gaza and their full readiness to confront US-Israeli schemes against the peoples of the region. They expressed disappointment over irresponsible Arab positions in response to the criminal escalation by Israel against the Palestinian people, as well as Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s announced expansionist plans targeting the nations and territories of the region.

The residents of Al-Mahwit condemned the international silence in the face of the crimes of extermination and deliberate starvation committed by Israel against the population of Gaza, including women and children, which constitute war crimes under international law and require responsible global action to stop them and hold the perpetrators accountable.

A statement issued by the rallies reaffirmed Yemen’s principled stance with Gaza and Palestine, and with the resistance that makes the ultimate sacrifices defending the entire nation against some of the most heinous and brutal crimes of the era committed by Israel against Gaza, which it seeks to extend to the rest of the region were it not occupied with opponents still resisting its aggression.

The statement stressed that, given the unprecedented brutality exercised by Israel in Gaza, it has become imperative for all nations and humanity to criminalize Zionism and work to disarm Israel, due to the danger it poses to regional populations and global peace.

It called for strengthening the capabilities of the resistance in Palestine and Lebanon, which currently act as a barrier against Israel’s genocidal, expansionist, and murderous designs, preventing the spread of its crimes to other countries.

The statement declared steadfast opposition to this malicious project, emphasizing its extreme danger to the nation and the Islamic holy sites. It warned that this plan, now officially articulated rather than merely rhetorical, is a religiously driven ideology for Israel, executed day and night.

It further highlighted that Israel’s threats under the banner of “remaking the Middle East,” if it manages to eliminate the axis of jihad and resistance, would represent the practical implementation of this nefarious project. The statement condemned attempts by the enemy to pressure some regional governments to disarm resistance movements and besiege them—whether in Gaza, Lebanon, or other jihad arenas—as part of this same malicious plan, which is rejected outright.

Finally, the rallies condemned any action by states, governments, or groups that serve this enemy plan, denouncing continued support and provision of services to Israel, the dispatch of ships loaded with goods and weapons, and economic deals with it. They criticized the submission of some governments in the face of Israeli threats as behavior that shocks reason and offends common sense.
