Notorious wolf behind the peaceful appearance

During our childhood, we used to watch a drama on PTV in Hindko language. I don’t remember the name but it was the story of a village where people used to live peacefully. There was a character of a hair dresser in that drama whose pet word was ‘Teeli la kay’ (teeli laga kay). Whenever villagers used to come to his shop he always said so many bad things about other people that a person started feeling hatred for the other person. Actually ‘teeli la kay’ means the first matchstick that lights the fire. The character of the hair dresser was of a person who, according to the script, used to spread hatred in the village by exploiting the situations and that used to ruin the peace of the village and hatred increased among people.

For example, he once said to Gamay that Phajjay (both characters) deliberately sent his cow to your fields to destroy your crops, or he said to munna that the tube well person intentionally gives you less water so that you face loss and Kaka benefits. Whenever he used to exploit and manipulate the situation he always gave the explanation that I am talking for your benefit otherwise I am happy with my work and its going fine. That character used to feel comfortable and happy whenever he made others to fight with each other.

Whenever I see Moulana Tahir Ashrafi and his activities that character comes in my mind. Here, Moulana des not have a shop but has Twitter which he uses to create chaos in the society and also says that he is talking for the progress of the country and the Ummah.

Tahir Ashrafi says that he is against intolerant behaviors but he also condemns Mirza Qadiyan. He says that he believe in the unity of Ummah but also condemns people of ‘Ibn e saba’. This character has actually penetrated in our society and we think that he wants our progress and benefit but ‘this character’ does everything for the satisfaction of his own desires.
