DI Khan mourns bombings over Ashura & 9th Muharram processions

shutter downThe entire Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan) city wears a gloomy look following twin blasts over Ashura and 9th Muharram on Azadari (mourning) processions that claimed lives of 14 mourner’s (Azadzar’s) and injured over hundred on Monday. The city is observing mourning on call announced by both Ahle Sunnat and Shiite leaders over the twin bombings in Thoya Fazil and Commissionery Bazaar to condemn the bloody incident killing innocent people marking the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (as). The city’s all four bazaars including Muslim Bazaar, Commissionery Bazaar, Ponda Bazaar and Kalan Bazaar are completely closed with thin traffic on roads and low attendance in government schools. Meantime, private educational institutions are closed today. Also, the ban on pillion riding has been lifted. A case of the blasts has been registered against the unidentified miscreants with the SHO City and Cantt Police Station as complainant. It should be mentioned here that the funeral prayers of the blasts’ victims were offered last night in the presence of thousands of mourners belongs from both AhleSunnat and Shiite Community of the violent hit Dera Ismail Khan.
