Saeed Haider Zaidi laid to rest amid slogans of Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS)

Eminent scholar, author and thinker Saeed Haider Zaidi was laid to rest in Wadi-us-Salam graveyard on Saturday.
 
His namaz-e-janaza was held at Shah-e-Karbala Imam Bargah, Rizvia Society Nazimabad after Zohrain prayers. Hujjat ul Islam Maulana Shahid Raza Kashifi led the namaz-e-janaza.
 
Thousands of Shiites attended the namaz-e-janaza and funeral procession of the martyr. Prominent among them were: Allama Hassan Zafar Naqvi, Allama Abbas Kumaili, Maulana Haider Abbas Zaidi, Maulana Asghar Shaheedi, Maulana Shahid Raza Kashifi, Maulana Sadiq Raza Taqvi and Ali Mohammad Naqvi.   
 
After namaz-e-janaza, the coffin was shouldered by the faithful mourners.  Then the body was taken to Wadi-us-Salam graveyard in a procession of cars and motorcycles.  
 
His heirs, relatives, friends, students and followers bid farewell to him with tearful eyes. They were raising slogans such as Labbaik Ya Hussain (AS), Labbaik Ya Mahdi (AS) and Down with America (U.S.).
 
His soyem will be held at Shah-e-Karbala Imam Bargah Rizvia Society on Monday. Quran Khwani will be held before Maghribain and Majlis-e-aza will be held after Maghribain prayers.
