MWM Demands for Recounting in GB LA-10

Central Deputy Secretary Information Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Mehdi Abdi on Wednesday demanded of the authorities concerned to start recounting process in the constituency of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) Legislative Assembly (LA) – 10.

The elections of Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly was concluded on Monday.

He, in a statement, said that MWM would not allow anyone to distort its mandate in the GB. He warned the government MWM would stage a countrywide protest if the recounting process could not be commenced as per the desire of the people of the constituency.

He said that MWM would not leave the people of GB on the mercy of PML-N government that demeaned the mandate of the people of the neglected region, where the annual budget is lower than spending of metro bus service introduced in the twin city. MWM will continue fight for the rights of GB, he asserted.
