Banned Outfit could be involved in Sabeen’s murder: DIG South

DIG South Dr Jamil Ahmad has said that a banned outfit could be involved in the murder of social activist Sabeen Mahmood.

Addressing a press conference at his office He said that investigations thus far revolved around talking to Sabeen’s acquaintances who disclosed that Sabeen was receiving threatening calls from different phone numbers. We would apprehend the criminals soon with the help of the statement of Sabeen’s mother, he added.

He informed that 32 criminals were killed in encounters during one month. He further said that the criminals killed in encounters included some of the most dangerous criminals.
Its pertaining to mention here that Civil Society Activist Sabeen Mehmood was killed by unknown terrorists few days ago at Karachi.she was the strong voice against extremism and injustice against Baloch people. Earlier, Several progressive people and human rights activist were killed by outlawed AhleSunnat Wal Jamaat and Taliban terrorists in Karachi and police also pointed out the involvement of banned outfits in the murder of Sabeen Mehmood.
