Iran produces 100 million tons of petrol wants to give it to Pakistan
Acting Speaker of Sindh Assembly Rehana Leghari met an 8-member delegation of Iranian parliamentarians in her office and discussed matters of mutual interest including the history of Sindh Assembly, agriculture, education, health , also discussed in detail the promotion of mutual cooperation in tourism, trade and other sectors.
Members of the Iranian Assembly, Mehdi Taghyani, Jafar Ghadiri, Asghar Salimi, Hussain Raisi, Ramzani, Ghulam Abbas Zabuli, Secretary of the Sindh Assembly Muhammad Farooq, Consul General of Iran Hassan Noorian and others were included in the meeting.
On this occasion Acting Speaker of Sindh Assembly Rehana Laghari said that she herself has visited Iran regarding pilgrimages to holy places and was very impressed with the agricultural technology in Iran and wants the agricultural system of Iran to come to Pakistan so that its Agricultural water saving and production can be increased.
She further said that the recent floods and rains have caused an extraordinary financial loss to Pakistan, especially Sindh and Balochistan, as a result of which various ready-made crops and livestock standing on several thousand acres have been completely destroyed and there is a fear that Pakistan will face food shortage in the near future.
She thanked the members of the assembly of Iran for the assistance in the disaster after the rains and floods and said that Iran is not only a neighbor of Pakistan but also a brotherly Muslim country that stands with Pakistan in every testing time.
However, the two countries need to work together for the unity of the Muslim Ummah and in this regard, there should be an exchange of delegations of members of the assembly of the two countries so that they can learn from each other.
On this occasion, the Iranian delegation thanked Rehana Leghari and said that Iran is producing 7 million tons of wheat annually which will soon become self-sufficient while our assembly consists of 290 members, of which 30 seats are for women.
Thousands of students from Pakistan are studying in various educational institutions of Iran and this number is increasing every year.
Iran produces 100 million tons of petrol and it wants to give this petrol to Pakistan while it is ready for mutual cooperation in other sectors such as minerals, tourism.
Delegation members said that Iran wants the government of Pakistan and the government of Iran to connect their national banks and introduce a common banking system so that both countries can benefit.
