Four Pakistani soldiers martyred in Deobandi Taliban’s Kurram blast
At least four security men were martyred in an explosion perpetrated by Deobandi takfiri Taliban terrorists targeting a convoy of security forces in Warmagai area of Kurram tribal region on Tuesday.
Security and rescue teams reached the blast site and shifted the victims to a nearby hospital. The security forces’ vehicle was destroyed in the blast.
The blast site was cordoned off by security forces as a probe into the incident went underway.
Kurram is one of the most sensitive tribal areas as it borders three Afghan provinces and at one point was one of the key routes for Wahhabis and Wahhabis-allied Deobandi takfiri militants’ movement across the border. Since Shia Muslims are single largest population of the Kurrum Agency, takfiris also made several terrorist attacks to harm them.
The region was claimed by the military to have been cleared of Deobandi takfiri insurgents during an operation a couple of years ago, however, Deobandi takfiri militants still carry out terrorist attacks against Shia Muslims and Sunnis as well and also target security forces occasionally.
The area where the blast occurred is adjacent to Tirah Valley where Pakistan Army is carrying out Operation Khyber-1 against Deobandi takfiri Taliban and other takfiri insurgent groups.
