Five ASWJ/LeJ terrorists arrested after an encounter with Karachi Police

Five takfiri nasbi terrorists belonging to the banned terrorist takfiri organisation, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi/ASWJ, were arrested from Karachi’s Ittehad Town on Monday.

Personnel from the Crime Investigation Department’s (CID) anti-terrorism cell conducted a raid in Ittehad Town during which five takfiri nasbi terrorists of the ASWJH/LeJ were arrested following an exchange of fire.

A number of weapons were also recovered from the takfiri terrorists, including five hand grenades.

Sources said that the takfiri ASWJ/LeJ terrorists had received terrorist and suicide attacks’ training in Waziristan. They were said to be involved in extortion activities and attempted murders.

Further investigation by police is under way.
