Pro-takfiri police implicates 230 Shiites including scholars in false case
More than 200 Shia Muslims including 20 scholars and an official of a Shia party were implicated in a false case by Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police of District Shikarpur that continued the pro-takfiri and anti-Shia action under “Blame the Victim” Policy.
Shia Muslims are being named in false cases in district Shikarpur since their peaceful anti-takfiri protest sit-in against the targeted murder of renowned Friday Prayer Leader of Khanpur Allama Shafqat Abbas Mutahri. Shiites protestors were demanding immediate arrests of all the takfiri terrorists for said murder.
Instead of making a strong case against the takfiri terrorists by fair investigation, on complaint of district Shikarpur’s corrupt, biased and anti-Shia police official (ASI) Sher Mohammad Bugti, Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police registered a case against Chaudhry Azhar, secretary general of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, 20 Shia Ulema (religious scholars) and 200 other Shiites whose names were not mentioned in the false FIR.
In what appeared to silence the protestors, police also applied anti-terrorism laws against the peaceful protesters. The FIR is aimed at launching a crackdown and they may take action against any innocent Shia Muslims on the pretext of 200 unidentified men in the FIR.
Shia parties and leaders condemned the Shikarpur District’s administration and police for their pro-terrorists policies and actions. They warned the PPP government in Sindh province to beware of the consequences of the unjustifiable anti-Shia policies being pursued in District Shikarpur. They asked PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his father Asif Zardari to take practical steps instead of empty statements against the takfiri terrorists.
