Takfiri Taliban terrorists arrested for attack on Benazir Bhutto’s homecoming rally

Crime Investigation Department (CID) of the Karachi Police on Friday said that two (takfiri nasbi) terrorists, involved in a 2007 deadly attack on former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s homecoming rally, have been arrested.

SP CID Usman Bajwa told media on Friday that the detained terrorists were identified the attackers who had targeted the huge homecoming rally of PPP chairperson on October 18, 2007, killing over 170 people at Karsaz on Shara-e-Faisal.

Bajwa said that the Jamshed and Abid were arrested from Shah Latif Town National Highway

He said that the terrorists made important revelations about the militant attack. The SP said that explosive material for the attack was brought from Frontier Colony area of SITE Town while it was masterminded in Manghopir area.

It is relevant to add here that banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi’s terrorist ringleader masterminded the attack.
