Takfiri terrorists bid to hit azadari during Moharram in Balochistan foiled

A major terror bid aimed at targeting azadari during Moharram was foiled when the Frontier Corps (FC) along with other security agencies seized a huge cache of arms and explosives during raids in different areas of Balochistan ahead of Ashura.

Raids were conducted in areas including Quetta, Mastung and Gulistan during which 4,000 kilograms of explosives were recovered.

Forces also recovered 101 missiles. 106 rocket shells, 18 suicide jackets and 31 sub-machine guns. Officials claimed that the arms and explosives were to be used for a plot of terrorism in Quetta during Muharram-ul-Haram.

DIG FC, Brigadier Tahir Mahmood held a news conference alongside Balochistan Home Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti where he informed the media that an Afghan citizen was arrested during the raids while explosives recovered were brought from a neighbouring country.

The provincial home minister said that Indian and Afghan agencies were involved in efforts to destabilise the province.

However, it is also relevant to add here that takfiri nasbi terrorist outfits banned by the government of Pakistan claimed responsibility for terrorist attacks which the government blamed on RAW and KHAD. Unfortunately, ringleaders of these banned outfits enjoy official protocol in the name of security.
