The ICT police removed barricades around the mosque and withdrew from the area after ICT capital administration bowed to former Lal Masid cleric Abdul Aziz.

M Ahmed Ludhianvi, head of banned terror outfit Sipah Sahaba (ASWJ), mother wing of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi mediated between the government and Abdul Aziz.
Ironically, Ludhianvi-led notorious terrorist outfit enjoy official protocol due to Saudi monarchy’s dictation although Pakistan government has officially imposed ban on Sipah Sahaba (ASWJ) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.
Pakistani nation recalls Abdul Aziz as an intolerant hatemongering fanatic who always destroyed peace and incited people to violence.
Due to that terrorist-mindset, the cleric Abdullah’s family lost his son Abdul Rasheed, younger brother of Abdul Aziz in a bloody gunfight with Pakistan Army and police in 2007.
Now in 2020, Hafiz Onaib from the ASWJ disclosed that their head Ludhianvi was mediating between the two sides to resolve the matter.
Another cleric said that Ludhianvi was the guarantor in the latest deal between the ICT administration and Abdul Aziz.
Abdul Aziz must have to face trial in cases which registered against him but government lacked interest in rule of law.
Former khateeb Abdul Aziz at Lal Masjid set a precedent for for other fanatics to illegally occupy the mosques nand seminaries.
The state-owned mosque, Masjid-e-Shuhada, in Islamabad’s Aabpara area also witnessed a dispute.
The Auqaf Department, which oversees the affairs of mosques in the capital territory, had been ignoring the rift at Masjid-e-Shuhada for many months.
That resulted in frequent scuffles between the supporters of the official cleric at the mosque and the cleric whose retirement had come two years ago but he refused to abide by government orders to vacate the mosque.
