Sunni Muslims joined the Shia Muslims rally that was staged in Karachi on Monday night to condemn the demolition of sacred shrines and graves of Ahl-e-Bait (AS), Companions and Wives of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle and Prophet of God.

The protestors began rally from Sadat Colony that culminated at Shahrah-e-Pakistan near main Super Highway. They were raising slogans against the Saudi Wahhabi monarchs. They were demanding reconstruction of the holy shrines and graves.

Poets and noha khwans such as Zafar Abbas Zafar, Shuja Rizvi and Dasta-e-Imam Hassan (AS) recited nohas and the faithful Muslims beat their chest to mourn the demolition on its anniversary.

Allama Furqan Haider Abedi and Sunni scholar Allama Faisal Azizi spoke to the protestors. They condemned the Saudi monarchy for demolition of the sacred shrines and graves. They said that there must be reconstruction of holy shrines on the graves of infallible Imams.

Shia Muslims are observing the anniversary in all parts of Pakistan for a long time. Saudi Wahhabi nasbi rulers razed the holy shrines and graves in Jannat ul Baqi graveyard in Medina on Shawwal 8 in 1345 A.H. (April 21, 1925).
