Canadians Muslims protest infront of Saudi Embassy to Condemn execution of Sheikh Nimr Al-Nimr

Canadians Muslims from various cities assembled at the Parliament Hill, Ottawa on Wednesday 7th January 2016 to protest against Sheikh Nimr illegitimate execution by the Saudi regime. Protesters came from far afield as Toronto, Waterloo and Montreal in order to express their outrage.

The protesters marched from Parliament Hill to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia chanting slogans such as, “Who is martyr, who is alive? Sheikh Nimr, Sheikh Nimr” “Who is coward, who is dead? Aale Saud, Aale Saud”

On their way to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, the protesters stopped at US Embassy to shame the US government for their unconditional support to the Saudi regime.

The Protesters demanded that the Canadian government immediately cancel the 15 Billion dollar contract to manufacture Light Armoured Vehicle (LAV) for Saudi Arabia and to stripped Saudi Arabia from their position on the United Nations Human Rights Council.

The LAVs will not go to Saudi Arabia’s regular army, instead they will serve the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG), which is a parallel force tasked with protecting internal security as well as the royal family.

The SANG has armoured vehicles to move quickly through cities. It already has Canadian LAVs bought in the 1990s and it is currently deployed within the Shia areas in the east, Qatif and al-Awamiyah in particular with the sole purpose to kill Saudi Shia protesters.

The protest organizer repeated request to hand deliver their resolution to the Saudi Embassy fell on deaf ears, they were shock to see Saudi government arrogance reflected right here in Canada.
