All-Party Conference vows Sunni-Shia unity following teaching of Imam Hussain (AS)

Speakers at an All-Party Conference (APC) hosted by Sunni Tehreek have said that Moharram, the first month of Islamic calendar begins with the memories of Imam Hussain and his companions who sacrificed their lives for the sake of true Islam in Karbala.

They said that Imam Hussain (AS) is a symbol of unity, love and fraternity among mankind, let alone Muslims. Hence, they urged the government to eliminate those terrorists who target Moharram azadari processions and Rabiul Awwal celebrations on birth anniversary of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God.
Those who spoke at the APC included: chief of All Pakistan Shia Action Committee Allama Mirza Yousuf Hussain, secretary general Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, former member of national assembly belonging to Jamaat-e-Islami Asadullah Bhutto, PPP leader and former advisor Pervaiz Arain, Ahle Hadees scholar Murtaza Khan Rehmani, PMLQ leader Anwar Shah Kashmiri, Tanzeem ul Ikhwan’s Laeeq Khan, JUIF’s Aslam Khan Ghouri, JUIS’s Hafiz Ahmed Ali, renowned scholar Manzarul Haq Thanvi, PPI’s Malik Yasir Sikandar Awan, Islami Yakjehti Council’s Aslam Shah Faridi, All Sindh Zakir Association’s Sajjad Shabbir Rizvi, Ali Karrar Naqvi and other scholars. Sunni Tehreek’s Matloob Awan presided over th APC.
Said speakers were of the view that US, Zionist regime of Israel and Indian belligerent regime were the remnants of Yazidi regime of Umayyad dynastic tyranny hence Muslims should join hands to defeat these forces of evil.
They stressed on the need to respect Moharram sanctity by holding azadari congregations where message of peace and love should be disseminated for all. They vowed to maintain unity and cohesions and would foil the plots of the enemies of Islam and Muslims. They said that Imam Hussain (AS), grandson of Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH) is a role model to bring out revolution in which oppressed get their inalienable rights and oppressors don’t survive.
