Tehran, Islamabad Stress Stronger Bilateral Relations and Regional Diplomacy
President Masoud Pezeshkian and Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have emphasized the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation, especially in the economic, trade, and customs sectors, as well as to continue joint consultations in support of regional peace and stability.
The two senior officials made the remarks during a telephone conversation on Wednesday.
During the call, President Pezeshkian congratulated the friendly and brotherly government and people of Pakistan on the arrival of Eid al-Adha and appreciated Islamabad’s constructive and responsible role in supporting diplomatic initiatives and efforts aimed at reducing tensions and ending the ongoing conflicts and crises in the region.

Pezeshkian also emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination among Islamic countries in order to protect the stability, security, and common interests of the Islamic world.
For his part, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed Eid greetings to the Iranian president, government, and people, expressing hope that the ongoing diplomatic processes would lead to final, effective, and sustainable results in the near future and pave the way for strengthening peace, stability, and regional cooperation
