Syrian Groups Start to Quit ’Unified Talks’ in Riyadh

Ahrar al-Sham, one of the main terrorist groups operating in Syria, pulled out on Thursday of the opposition talks that was aimed at forging a united front ahead of potential discussions with the Syrian government.

The armed takfiri group, whose mercenaries are trained and funded by the regional countries, mainly Turkey, the Saudi Arabia and Qatar, said it took the decision because of “the fundamental role… given to personalities linked to the regime” at the conference, knowing that there is no presence for any figure related to the Syrian national presentation in Riyadh.

Representatives of various political opposition groups and terrorist organizations fighting the Syrian army are holding talks for the first time since the Syrian conflict began in 2011 under the patronage of the Saudi Kingdom.
