The ceremony will be held on Monday July 4 at Al-Kawsar high school complex in Beirut.
It is expected to be attended by scholars and clerics as well as ordinary people.
The committee for organizing the ceremony, made up of Sheikh Fuad Kharis, Faruq Rizq, Ali Hydus and Walid Hamud, met with Beirutâ€™s archbishop on Saturday, June 25, to invite him to attend the function.
Fuad Kharis, who is also an official with the Al-Mubarrat Charity Society, described the meeting as a good opportunity for discussing with the archbishop Lebanonâ€™s internal affairs as well as issues related to Muslims and Christians.
Speaking at the meeting, Beirutâ€™s archbishop described Allameh Fadlallah as not only a source of emulation for Muslims but also a national and social source of reference.
Allameh Fadlallah died on July 4 last year at the age of 75. He was a great Shia scholar and source of emulation. The 25-volume exegesis â€œMin Vahy-ul-Quranâ€ (of Quranâ€™s revelation) is one of his works, which is a scientific, guiding and educational interpretation.
