Iran reopened Taftan border after three months

Islamic Republic of Iran reopened the trade gate on the Taftan border on Sunday after a three-month closure in protest against the killing of 26 pilgrims of Imam Reza (as) at Mastung Balochistan.
The government of Islamic Republic of Iran had closed the gate on Sept 24th after a terrorist attack on an Iran-bound bus carrying Hazara community Shia pilgrims of Imam Reza (as).
The attack had left 26 people martyred and several others injured. Pakistani officials held several rounds of talks with Iranian authorities for reopening of the trade gate and the closure caused a huge loss to businessmen. The gate had earlier been closed for several months after a suicide attack in Zahidan.
Frontier Constabulary (FC) sources said on Sunday that the crossing was reopened after talks between the two countries.Â
 Traders in Quetta and Mastung have expressed satisfaction at the reopening of the crossing point  saying that they suffered a huge loss due to closure.
