Nasrollah revelations on Hariri assassination investigation committee

Nasrollah announced on Thursday that this court’s prosecutor general is pressed by foreign parties in regard to issuance of initial verdict prior to the month of December. Nasrollah, who was speaking to Lebanese people in a live TV program, referred to the recent  interrogations of two of this court’s interrogators from a gynecologist of women’s medical center, south of Beirut, while noting that we have reached a sensitive and highly worrisome phase which is related to our reputation and dignity and calls for adoption of a different stance.

The said two interrogators had called for presentation of the files of all patients of a gynecologist, working in a medical center in south of Beirut, which led to the reaction of a number of Lebanese women, such that they attacked the interrogators. This development led to the reaction of US and the court’s prosecutor general. Meanwhile, Nasrollah pointed out that he was surprised by this reaction because the prosecutor general of the court that studies the assassination of Rafik Hariri, has remained silent for a number of years in regard to the topic of fake witnesses in this case, but this prosecutor general swiftly reacted to the attack of Lebanese women on the interrogators, who had taken a measure irrelevant to the case of assassination of former Lebanese premier. Nasrollah further announced that the members of the investigation committee on assassination of the former Lebanese premier are gathering information on Hezbollah to transfer them to Israel. Moreover, Nasrollah noted that he will no longer remain silent in regard to the performance of the said committee, and reminded that he has remained silent in this regard up to now so that nobody would say Hezbollah wanted to obstruct the process of international investigations on the assassination of Rafik Hariri.

In further remarks, Nasrollah said that this investigation committee has called for the files of students of private universities in Lebanon and even wants the files of all students studying in Lebanon’s official universities from 2003 to 2006. All the telecommunication companies in Lebanon have also been investigated by the interrogators of the said investigation committee. Moreover, the investigation committee has also demanded the data related to fingerprints of individuals from the passport office of Lebanon’s public security organization.

Nasrollah noted in the past few years he was aware that the investigation committee was collecting data beyond the case of assassination of former Lebanese premier, but he remained silent due to Lebanon’s national interests. But, currently, there is no political justification for remaining silent. He called on the Lebanese people and officials to refuse to cooperate with the international investigation committee on the assassination of Rafik Hariri, because the initial verdict of the related court had been registered as of the year 2006, which has been published by the publications of Der Spiegel and Le Figaro. Hezbollah secretary general believes the court studying the assassination of Rafik Hariri has been gathering data from Lebanon and delivering them to Zionist regime’s ringleaders in the recent years.
