Leader’s message to 19th conference on prayers
The Leader of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has emphasized that mosques should teach interpretations, and hadith; should be a tribune for social and political teachings; and a center for preaching and promotion of ethics.
Furthermore, the Leader of Islamic Revolution underlined that mosques are centers of worship and a political base, which in turn manifests the image of an Islamic mosque and its distance from the places of worship of other religions.
The Leader of Islamic Revolution emphasized on the social status of mosques and attached importance to the relations between the congregational prayer leaders and youths, while adding: “The remarks of heads and trustees of mosques should attract and encourage the pure hearts of youths, and in fact easy access to mosques is vital for the youngsters, while mosques in any region or district should be shelters and a sources of goodness and blessings.”
The Leader’s message further read that everyone is tasked with construction and development of mosques and everyone should contribute to this end based on his/her efforts and potentials.
The 19th conference on prayers, titled: “Prayers, Mosque, and Family” commenced in the presence of President Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in the city of Birjand, eastern Iran, on Tuesday, and will end tomorrow.
Representatives of the country’s cultural and administrative bodies including education minister are attending the event.
