Bid to attack Ashura procession foiled, 2 Taliban terrorists arrested
Police and intelligence agencies captured two terrorists of outlawed Taliban foiling their bid to attack Ashura procession and other mourning congregations of Moharram in Karachi.
Intelligence agencies had tip-off that the terrorists were planning to blast the Shia Muslims annual congregation of Ashura and other Shia mourning processions and gatherings by smuggling heavy caches of weapons via main super highway Karachi.
Sohrab Goth Police and intelligence agencies conducted a joint raid in which a truck loaded with heavy arms and ammunitions was seized.
Zubair Ahmed and Mohammad Ali alias Imran were arrested for smuggling the weapons for terrorism.
