Netanyahu’s U.S. Visit Cut Short as Trump and Elon Musk Meetings Are Dropped

Shiite News: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to New York for the United Nations General Assembly has been significantly shortened, with no meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump currently on his schedule and a planned meeting with Elon Musk in Texas canceled. Recent reports have linked the shortened trip to security concerns and the expectation of protests.

According to reports, Netanyahu had hoped to meet Trump during his New York visit, but the two leaders are not currently scheduled to hold talks. A U.S. official previously said Netanyahu was not among the world leaders scheduled to meet Trump during the UN gathering.

Israeli media reports said Netanyahu’s visit would last only a few hours, with the prime minister expected to leave New York shortly after addressing the UN General Assembly. Reuters reported that Israeli officials expected him to remain in New York for less than eight hours.

The planned stop in Texas for a meeting with Elon Musk was also canceled. According to CTech, an Israeli advance team had already traveled to Texas to prepare for the meeting before the cancellation was announced.

Netanyahu’s shortened itinerary has left his UN address as the main focus of the visit. Reports say his schedule contains no meetings with U.S. political figures, while his office has listed meetings with several other world leaders.
