After Friday prayers rallies in dozens of cities across Sindh province were carried out to express solidarity with the Palestinians, struggling for the liberation of Al-Quds.

Hundreds and thousands of Muslims, mostly Shiites, participated in the rallies.

Father of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini had called for observance of Al-Quds day as an integral part of Ramadan so that Muslims would never forget their responsibility and duty towards Palestine and all oppressed people in the world.

Earlier religious organizations through press conferences and advertisements had appealed to people to participate in Al-Quds rallies.

Huge rallies led by leaders of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, Imamia Student Organization (ISO) and Asgharia Organisation were carried out in Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Khairpur, Shikapur, Dadu, Sanghar, Nawabshah, Jacobabad, Larkana, Sukkur and other parts of the province.

Participants of the rallies shouted slogans against US and Zionist regime. They also condemned in strongest words the terrorist attack on the holy shrine of Hazrat Zaynab (AS).

They also condemned recent Shiites target killings and bomb attacks on Shiites in Parachinar.

Allama Haider Ali Jawadi, Allama Mukhtar Imami, Allama Imdad Nasimi, Allama Baqar Najafi and several other religious scholars led the rallies. Shia Ulema Council also held the rallies to mark Quds Day.

The rallies were carried in all major cities of Pakistan, including Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar. The protestors expressed concern over the silence of the international community over the atrocities by Zionists on Palestinians.

At the end of the rallies, resolutions were adopted to condemn the occupation of Palestine by the Zionist regime. The participants also carried posters of the Palestinian ‘martyrs’.

Participants of the rallies were holding placards and banners inscribed with different slogans like “Struggle will continue till the liberation of Palestine.”

Administration in all cities and towns across the country made special security arrangements to thwart any untoward incident.
