Religious Insight Is Essential Against Media Propaganda and Soft War: Maulana Zaki Baqri

Shiite News: Addressing the Friday prayer sermons at Masjid Jafriyah in the city of Alipore, Karnataka state, India, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimin Maulana Syed Muhammad Zaki Baqri shed detailed light on the life of Zahra (peace be upon her), the Sermon of Fadak, and current global conditions. He said that in today’s world, war is not only through weapons but also a soft war through social media and media, therefore Muslims must employ religious insight and research.

According to details, Maulana Syed Muhammad Zaki Baqri, who came from Canada, on the occasion of Ayyam-e-Fatimiya, termed the Sermon of Fadak a great treasure of knowledge and wisdom. He said that through soft war, the roles of historical personalities and current leaderships are made suspect. The negative campaign run by America and Israel against the Supreme Leader and Iran is part of this same soft war.

He emphasized that before spreading any news, it is necessary to verify it in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran. In his second sermon, Maulana discussed the status of scholars and social reform. Criticizing unnecessary customs in marriages, excessive spending on engagement invitations, and ostentation, he emphasized the responsible upbringing of the youth. On this occasion, special mention was also made of the “Attar-e-Aal-e-Muhammad Scholarship Scheme” ongoing for deserving students.

In the end, Maulana Zaki Baqri emphasized self-accounting, sincerity, and giving scholars appropriate responsibilities in society. At the conclusion of the address, he offered special prayers for the help of the oppressed, the awakening and unity of the Muslim Ummah, and the hastening of the reappearance of Imam Zaman Hazrat Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
