Saudi Arabia Yemen War Economic Crisis: Wall Street Journal Reveals Al Saud’s Nightmare
The Imposed War on Yemen Has Backfired on Al Saud: Saudi Arabia on the Brink of Economic Collapse
Shiite News: The renowned American newspaper ‘Wall Street Journal’ has revealed in a sensational report that the long and futile war imposed on the oppressed people of Yemen has become a nightmare for Al Saud. Due to the excessive expenses of the war, Saudi Arabia’s budget deficit has increased alarmingly, and the country is facing the threat of the worst economic recession.
According to the report, the fear of retaliatory and defensive operations from Yemen has also put the future of Saudi Arabia’s tourism projects at risk. During the first and second quarters of this year, foreign investment remained far below expectations. Due to the economic crisis, several multi-billion dollar projects of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman have been halted, to the extent that Riyadh has also abandoned preparations for hosting the 2029 Asian Winter Games.
Exposing military weaknesses, the Wall Street Journal further reported that according to Saudi officials’ admission, the stock of interceptor missiles used to stop Yemeni missiles and drones is nearing depletion. Saudi Arabia does not have the capability to provide protection to its entire territory through an Air Defense system, due to which the Saudi government has been forced to focus its limited defense resources only on the protection of royal palaces and energy (oil) installations.

Furthermore, recognizing his changing status in the region, bin Salman has instructed his advisers to keep the channels of political communication with Iran open in all circumstances.
