Unity and Insight Can Help Muslim Ummah Overcome Challenges, Says Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas

Shiite News: A grand conference titled “Unity of the Ummah and the Teachings of the Sadiqayn” was held at the Al-Baqir Center in Islamabad to mark the blessed birth anniversaries of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (AS).

The conference was organized by the Majlis-e-Ulama-e-Imamia Pakistan, under the Dawah Department of the International Al-Baqir Institute. Religious scholars, preachers, and prominent religious figures attended the event in large numbers.

Addressing the conference, Senator Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, said that the challenges facing the Muslim Ummah can only be confronted through unity and insight.

He emphasized that the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), along with the teachings of the Sadiqayn (AS), provide Muslims with clear examples and guidance. He said these teachings demonstrate that Muslims can remain united despite their intellectual and jurisprudential differences by building upon the Quran, the Messenger of God, and shared Islamic values.

The conference also featured extensive discussion on the responsibilities of religious scholars and preachers in view of contemporary intellectual and cultural challenges. Speakers emphasized the importance of drawing guidance from the teachings and example of the Sadiqayn (AS) to address social challenges.

The Al-Baqir Institute, led by its founder and head, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Dr. Syed Shafqat Hussain Shirazi, is an active scholarly and social institution involved in religious outreach, education, research, and welfare activities.
