Thousands Protest on Streets of Spain in Support of Palestinians, Demand End to Ties With Israel

Shiite News: Thousands of people took to the streets in the southern Spanish city of Málaga to express strong solidarity with the Palestinian people. During the large-scale demonstration, protesters strongly called on the Spanish government to immediately sever all diplomatic and economic ties with Israel.

According to Spanish media reports, demonstrators carried Palestinian flags in the city center and chanted slogans against what they described as the brutality of the Israeli government. Participants said that what is happening in Gaza is not merely a war but constitutes genocide, and expressed their belief that Palestine will ultimately prevail over the occupying forces.

During the protest, participants urged the international community to take urgent and effective measures to halt the ongoing violence against the Palestinian people. They also called on the Spanish government to immediately impose a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel and permanently boycott the arms trade.

Thousands of people from human rights organizations, social groups, left-wing political parties and various sections of society participated in the demonstration. Protesters carried placards bearing messages such as “End the genocide” and “End the arms trade with Israel.”
