Due to the continuous efforts and supervision of Najaf Governor Yousif Kanawi and Airport Director Haider Al-Miyali, along with coordination with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority and other relevant institutions, the airport will receive its first flight at 3:20 AM (Fajr) from Royal Jordanian Airlines.

Considering the security situation and the safety of pilgrims, regular flight operations are being formally restored after more than 47 days of suspension.

This restoration is the result of coordinated technical, administrative, and communication efforts completed during the suspension period, in collaboration with the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority.

According to airport management, coordination with various airlines and relevant institutions is ongoing. Flights are being gradually rescheduled, and full operational capacity is expected to be restored soon.

Further details will be released through official sources to ensure continuity in air traffic and provide the best facilities to passengers.

The administration informed passengers that flight operations will resume gradually in the coming days and expressed optimism about entering a new, active phase of service for pilgrims.
