MWM condemns police teargas shelling at protesting govt employees in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan.
Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan deputy secretary general Nasir Abbas Sherazi disapproved the police action.

He said that the government employees are demanding raise in their monthly salaries.

He further said that the employees protest against low income despite rising cost of living.
While declaring their demand as legitimate, Nasir Sherazi suggested that the government need to deal with them sympathetically.
Moreover, he opposed brutal police action against peaceful protesters.
The MWM leader said that rising cost of living due to skyrocketing dearness has made life of common man miserable.
25% rise approved as ad hoc
Meanwhile, the government has announced a 25 per cent Adhoc Allowance for all the federal employees of Basic Pay Scale 1 to 19.
Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan made this announcement.
They addressed a news conference in Islamabad.
Furthermore, they said the Centre recommended the provincial governments to provide the adhoc allowance to their employees.
They said Prime Minister Imran Khan has given directions to the Chief Ministers of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to address the problems of their employees.

However, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid anniounced increase in salaries of the employees in scale 20 and above in the next budget.
In his remarks, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan said the govt would also address issue of disparities in the salaries of employees of different organizations.
Meanwhile, according to the Finance Division Islamabad, they would also consider grant of time-scale for adoption on the same pattern in the next budget.
Adhoc Relief will also be considered to be made part of the basic salary from next fiscal year.
