Kohistan massacre: ISO demands President, PM step down

shiitenews ISO-Protest-ISB-gilgitThe Imamia Students Organization (ISO) on Tuesday staged a protest in the capital city of Islamabad against today’s Kohistan massacre, in which 18 people were killed.

Carrying placards and banners, protestors blocked Islamabad Express Way for traffic and chanted slogans against the government.

Addressing the protesters, Allama Ashfaq Wahid and other speakers said the government has failed to maintain law and order in the country. They called for resignations of both the President and the Prime Minister.

The protesters demanded those involved in the Kohistan massacre should be arrested and brought before the court of law.

Earlier in the day, gunmen opened fire on a passenger bus in Kohistan, killing all 18 people aboard.

The victims were Shia Muslims who were heading to Gilgit from Rawalpindi.
