Birth anniversary of Imam Mohammad Taqi Javad celebrated

Birth anniversary of Imam Mohammad Taqi Javad celebrated in Pakistan like other countries around the world.

Specially, Shia Muslims in Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Lebanon, Bahrain, Yemen and India and diaspora in other countries celebrate the anniversary.

Shia Muslims revere Imam Mohammad Taqi al Javad as the 9th infallible Imam or 9th successor of Prophet of Islam Hazrat Mohammad (PBUH), the last apostle of God.

Birth anniversary of Imam

They illuminated and decorated their streets, houses, mosques and Imam Bargahs, to mark the celebrations.

Religious scholars highlighted various aspects of the sacred life of the infallible leader of humanity.

Poets also paid tributes to him by reciting poetry highlighting Imam Taqi Javad’s sacred life.

Notably, Shia Muslims celebrate the birth anniversary of Imam Mohammad Taqi al Javad son of Imam Ali Reza on 10th Rajab every year.

Imam Taqi is laid to rest alongside his grandfather Imam Moosa Kazim in Kazimain Iraq while Iranian holy Mashhad city houses his father Imam Reza’s sacred shrine.

Both shrines remain sites of pilgrimage for all Muslims since Sunnis too respect Imams of Shia Islam as great Islamic saints from the family of Ahle Bayt of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).

Millions of pilgrims go to pay homage to these shrines in Iraq and Iran.
