MWM officials engaged in relief activities for flood victims

Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen, leading Shia party of Pakistan, began its relief activities to help flood victims of Punjab province.

Officials of the MWM visited the affected areas and met the flood victims in various areas of Districts of Chiniot, Sargodha, Jhang and Layyah.

MWM Chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari had earlier directed the welfare section of his party namely Khair ul Amal Foundation to launch relief activities to help the victims of downpour and flood.

Nasir Abbas Shirazi, secretary for political affairs of the MWM, visited Kot Ameer Shah and Bhawana, and other areas. He distributed relief-packages to the affected people.

Local officials of Layyah also visited the people and areas affected by heavy rainfall and the flood. They also distributed relief items among the victims.

On the other hand, Yaqub Hussaini, secretary for organizational affairs visited affected areas of southern Punjab. Mr Hussaini and Fazal Abbas Naqvi of Wahdat Youth held meetings with local officials. They decided that officials of Khair ul Amal Foundation and Wahdat Scout would coordinate in the relief activities. A meeting of Multan chapter was also called to chalk out course of action for relief activities.
