Allama Nazir Taqvi Calls for Muslim Unity to Protect Makkah and Madinah
We Will Shed Blood Alongside Sunni Brothers to Defend the Holy Sites, Says Allama Nazir Taqvi
Shiite News: Allama Syed Nazir Abbas Taqvi, Central Additional Secretary General of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, has said that the United States and Israel are allegedly seeking to create divisions and confrontation among Muslim countries. He stated that Makkah and Madinah are shared sacred sites of Muslims and declared that wherever the blood of Sunni Muslims is shed in their defense, “our blood will also be shed.”
Addressing a conference in Karachi titled “Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Muslim Unity,” organized by the United Ulema Mahaz, Allama Nazir Abbas Taqvi said that the responsibility of religious scholars has become greater than ever under the current circumstances and that they should provide the public with fact-based guidance. He warned that, in his view, hostile forces seek to intensify divisions among Muslims and that certain takfiri elements in Pakistan could attempt to exploit the issue to create unrest. He urged the public not to become victims of propaganda, saying that the country cannot afford another period of turmoil.
