US military forces must leave this region: Iranian Commander

The top commander of the Iranian Navy has said the seas and oceans of the region are safe, and US military forces must leave this region.

Speaking in Tehran Friday Prayer pre-sermons, Rear Admiral Hossein Khanzadi warned the Americans by saying: “The era of theatrical naval armadas is over. The Americans must leave this region.”

The top commander added: “Despite US sanctions, a new generation of Iranian-made weaponry will soon join the Iranian Navy, including the Simorgh drone (unmanned aerial vehicle).”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rear Admiral Khanzadi said: “The Iranian Navy is the flag-bearer of a movement towards a sea-centered civilization, and the Islamic Republic of Iran is moving in this direction.”
