OVER 99% IN REFERENDUM SAY YES TO “ISRAEL POSES SERIOUS AND IMMINENT EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO HUMANITY”

jos_palestineMore than 99% voters in an online referendum endorsed the Palestine Foundation’s notion that Zionist state of Israel poses serious and imminent existential threat to humanity.

At a press conference at Karachi Press Club, officials of Palestine Foundation of Pakistan (PLF) and their allied ruling coalition and the Opposition parties announced the results of the worldwide web-polling of online referendum on “Israel poses serious and imminent existential threat to humanity.”

Anjuman Talba-e-Islam (ATI), close to defunct MMA’s JUP-N, and others also held public referendum outside mosques where more than 40,000 Muslims cast votes endorsing the topic of referendum on Friday, 7th of May 2010.

Palestine Foundation has won support of student wings of Pakistan Peoples Party, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jamaat-e-Islami and groups close to Awami National Party such as Pukhtoon Students Federation and also enjoyed support of Imamia Students Organisation.

Qazi Ahmed Noorani Siddiqui, noted scholar Aftab Hyder and Asif Rizvi of PLF Pakistan, Ali Raza of ISO, Mohsin Abedi of PSA, and Faisal Shaikh and Shabbir Khan of the Peoples Students Federation F, Khalil Satti of Muslim Students Federation-Nawaz, Ubaid Noorani and Zubair Noorani of the ATI, Mohammad Khan Afridi and Bakhtawer Shah of Pukhtoon-S-F and Abdullah Shujaat of Islami Jamiat Talba were present at the press conference.

Qazi Noorani Siddiqui and Mr. Hyder told reporters that 0.3% of the voters disagreed with the topic voting in nope. They said 0.2% who cast votes through e-voting like others, expressed their ignorance that they don’t know if it is true or not.

“More than 99% votes in yes expressed a worldwide public opinion and of Pakistan in particular,” said Mr. Siddiqui.

He said Pakistanis are duty-bound to fully support the just cause of Palestine.

“Founding fathers of Pakistan and Pakistani nation had opposed the unjust division of Palestine and Zionist state in any part of undivided Palestine when the Jewish state was brought to the knowledge of Muslims of undivided India,” he said.

The Palestine Foundation and its allied parties’ officials unanimously condemned the establishment of Israel in Palestine and announced black day in all over Pakistan on 63rd anniversary of illegitimate state of Israel.

They will stage countrywide rallies, hoist black flags and wear black armbands to express solidarity with Palestinians who call establishment of Israel and expulsion of Palestinians from their ancestral land as a day of catastrophe (Nakba).

Rallies and demonstrations will be staged in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore as well. Almost all the allied have chalked out their own separate programmes for rallies and demonstrations on May 14. However, they will stage a combined rally on May 15.

Finally, Imamia Students Organisation (ISO)’s rally will be staged on May 16 because ISO observe May 16 as a black day to condemn the establishment of Israel and recognition of the illegitimate state of Israeli by the United States of America. ISO observe May 16 as a day to say “No to Israel and Down with U.S.A.” on a call from Allama Arif Hussain al Hussaini, a pious scholar and leader who was martyred on August 5, 1988.
