Day 15 Hunger Strike | “Our blood can be found on the hands of establishment itself”, Allama Nasir

In an unprecedented event in Pakistan, Allama Raja Nasir’s Hunger strike enters its 15th day, protesting the genocide and atrocities against shia nation.

Pakistan hasn’t witnessed an event as such in the past, Allama Nasir has presented extraordinary mettle in using his democratic right protesting the recent killing of shias in Pakistan.

Allama Nasir, in a recent interview, said Shiites in Pakistan have faced oppression in the past, subject to terrorism by varied proscribed outfits.  These banned organizations have been operating in Pakistan for a number of years and regimes have used them to gain monetary and bureaucratic benefits. The recent flare of killing give evidence that they have been getting state patronage.

Allama Nasir said that the event of Parachinar manifests the malignant nature of this current regime against shias in Pakistan. Our blood can be found on the hands of establishment itself. Despite our efforts the nation is yet to receive any justice for its martyrs. Every mode has been tried, the government is yet to provide us with a safe haven.

The chief of MWM expressed that they can ensure their safety should the government take away the patronage of these terrorist outfits. These outfits are operating in Pakistan under varied names and should one name go proscribed they adopt another, with the same faces in every organization.

Allama Raja Nasir started his campaign on May 13 protesting the carnage against shiites across Pakistan lest it be in D.I. Khan, Karachi, Parachinar etc. Many a political and religious parties visited the camp established near press club, Islamabad. They praised Allama’s cause and assured him their support.
