182 takfiri madaris closed down in the country: Interior Ministry
Islamabad: Minister of state for Interior Mian Baleegh ur Rehman told National Assembly that 182 takfiri madaris have been closed down in the country after being declared suspicious. They included 2 madaris of Punjab, 167 of Sindh and 13 of KPK. He further told that 190 madaris of the country were receiving foreign funding including 147 of Punjab, 6 of Sindh, 7 of KPK, and 30 h Baluchistan. Apart from this, 72 un-registered madaris of Sindh have also been closed down.
Interior Ministry told that 9 thousand 164 complains were registered regarding the wrong uses of loud speaker on which 9 thousand 340 people were arrested. 2 thousand 337 cases were filed regarding hate speeches whereas 2 thousand 195 people were arrested in this crime.
In addition to this, search of madaris have also been going on under which 100% madaris of Punjab and the federal capital have been completed, 80% madaris of Sindh, 75% of KPK and 60% madaris of Baluchistan have been searched.
Baleegh ur Rehman told that the lists of members of banned organizations are also being prepared and the lists will also be send to immigration, NADRA, FIA and other departments in order to keep an eye upon the movement of members of outlawed organizations and the money transferred to them. This will also make their entry in sensitive areas difficult.
