Ferry service’s fare is a burden on unprivileged pilgrims, should be further decreased
Although the Pakistan government’s initiation of ferry service to Iran is praiseworthy but the fare of twenty thousand rupees per pilgrim is like a burden on unprivileged pilgrims because Iran and Shaheen Airlines’ fare to Iran’s city Mashhad is 32 to 33 thousand rupees that is a lot easier, and time saving journey as compared to the travel through sea. In addition to this, the ferry will take pilgrims to Iran’s port of Chah Bahar, after a week’s journey, from where the pilgrims will have to take another 18 hour long journey to reach Mashhad. Therefore, the fare of ferry service as twenty thousand rupees per pilgrim will be expensive. We demand the Government of Pakistan to further decrease the fare of ferry service so that the facility could be available for as much pilgrims as possible.
