We will fight for rights of Gilgit-Baltistan in every corner of country: Faisal Abdi

Former Senator Faisal Raza Abdi has resolved that he along with Majlis Wahdate Muslimeen (MWM) will fight for the rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) in every lane and corner of the country.

He was speaking at the political procession held in Skardu here on Thursday. MWM organized this procession on of behalf of its ongoing election campaign in the GB where the general elections for the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly will be held on June 8. Senator Abdi, who is also heading a social forum ‘Voice of Shuhda-e-Pakistan’, said that the Supreme Court of Pakistan failed to provide us justice, although around 80,000 Pakistanis had lost their lives in the country. Mian Nawaz Sharif pretends to be democratic champion but he insulted the constitution of Pakistan by making military courts ineffective in term of rewarding death sentence to so-called Islamist militants (Taliban).

“I am here to give you good news that this election will be the last one; the people of GB will now see the elections of the senate and parliament. The people of Gilgit and Baltistan stand no more alone for their rights because the whole nation now backs them. Any tyrant will not be allowed anymore to further damage the cause of GB. PML-N-led government always supports Taliban mentality in the country. I do not know what makes PML-N to ask GB people for votes despite the fact GB always stands against Talibanisation,” he said.

He urged the people of the northern areas to support those parties in this elections who support you, saying that if Nawaz league looked after the grieve families of martyrs of Gilgit and Baltistan then you should support this part.
