Anti-takfiris targeted operation in 3 universities of Punjab recommended

Intelligence officials have informed the Punjab government that alongside (Wahhabis-allied Deobandi) seminaries, some (Deobandi) student organisations are also involved in fanning fanaticism and violent extremism in Punjab province.


Reports had it that intelligence reports pointed out that Deobandi student outfits in University of Punjab in Lahore, University of Agriculture in Faisalabad and University of Sargodha are involved in violent extremism and promoting fanatic trends.

The report was referred to Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and hopes had it that he could act upon the recommended targeted operation.

Proscribed ASWJ-Lashkar-e-Jhangvi-Sipah-e-Sahaba, 3 names of one terrorist outfit, also has its student wing. Unfortunately, at many places Islami Jamiat Talba (IJT) also cooperated with the takfiri students that has surprised Shia Muslims because of anti-takfiri ideology of founder of Jamaat-e-Islami namely Syed Abul Aala Moudoodi.
